Diego Martin is a small town located in the northwest part of Trinidad. Named after a Spanish explorer, the town is a great place to explore the colours of carnival and peaceful beauty offered by the nature. History:
The Diego Martin valley was once considered to be a cluster of many villages, but only few are left. The French planters and the slaves serving them were among the first inhabitants of the region in the later part of the 18th century. Today, the town is a well-known tourist destination and home to various renowned personalities like Wendy Fitzwilliam, the Miss Universe 1998.
