Hotel Gavinana

Our hotel is situated near the centre of Florence, in Gavinana from which it takes the name. The construction is an independent villino with a small garden built at the end of the' 50s.

We have ten large, bright and quiet rooms. Some are equipped with complete bathroom, others with shower and washbasin, some have a private small balcony, all of them have the satellite TV, telephones and a ceiling fan.

Parking near the hotel is free but those who wish can park their car in a garage can do so quite cheaply. Nearby there are two supermarkets, one take-away pizzeria and one of the best ice-cream shops in Florence.

You can get to the historical centre in 10 min. Go to Ponte Vecchio or Piazza Duomo on local line 23. If you come by car we advise you to park in front of the hotel and travel by public means of transport (private traffic is not allowed in the city centre).

Our hotel is a family enterprise; we are pleased to give our customers all the necessary information to help them enjoy a pleasant stay including itineraries for inside and outside the city.

We can also make reservations for visits to the larger museums.

You must give us 48 hours notice of any change and/or cancellation of your booking, otherwise you will be charged for the first night of your stay and any remaining nights will be cancelled.

By train to S. M. Novella: When in Florence you get out of the station on your right from the platform, you go down the stairs and the bus stop is just opposite. Remember to buy your ticket before getting into the bus at any newsagent, tobacconist or bar. You need n° 23 and you get off at Piazza Gualfredotto, (n° 71 after 9. 30 p.m.). Our hotel is very near; just opposite the square you go straight along Via da Mondello and here we are. From the airport: Catching a taxi is advisable By car Highway A1: Highway A1 direction Firenze. The exit you need from the highway is FIRENZE-SUD, you go straight along and take the third exit after the toll, the direction is Viale Europa. Then you go straight for about 3 kilometres; (Viale Giannotti) it’s a wide street at the first traffic lights after the Cinema Marconi you turn on your right; two hundred metres more and you reach our hotel on your right.
