About This Hostel
Hostel Adria.
Our small, cosy, family-run Hostel Adria is located between Split and Omis, about 12 kilometres south of Split. The hostel's barbecue place is located directly at the seaside, and the hostel itself is just 10 meters away from the crystal blue Adriatic sea.
The beach is practically adjacent to our hostel – it takes only one minute walk from the hostel to get there.
You can spend your days on the beach and enjoy the clear Adriatic Sea. You can either go swimming or play water polo with the other hostel guests. We will provide you with free beach towels. For a change, you can read your e-mails or surf the internet – all PCs at the hostel are free to use, WiFi-internet in all hostel rooms is free as well.
We can also offer you modern electronic amusements like Nintendo Wii. To make your gaming more exciting, you can use a beamer that is also available for free.
If you prefer active tourism, our tours desk is at your disposal. In the evening you can go to Omis or Split to be part of the amazing nightlife or you can stay lazy in our small village and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. You may use the barbecue till 11:00 pm.

You may explore old villages go canyoning, rafting on the river Cetina, kayaking, canoeing, water polo in Dugi Rat, volleyball in Omis and Duce, go by ship to the islands nearby. There's a diver's school near Jut-Cetina. They'll also offer trekking and mountain biking in God's free beautiful nature in that region.
As there is Omis and Split City nearby, you'll enjoy a splendor of leisure activities there: discotheques, restaurants and other tourist activities.
Split (Croatian Split; Italian Spalatos derived from old Greek Aspalathos) is the second biggest city of Croatia and the biggest in Dalmatia. Split has round about 195.000 inhabitants and about 400.000 people living nearby. The Diocletian Palace is situated in the town. Split has got an important harbour and a university. The UNESCO labeled the town (it is more than 1700 years old) as World Heritage. Split lies on the peninsula Marjan. It has a beautiful historic district, which is located on the southern seaside of Marjan. In the old town you may visit the Cathedral of Sveti Duje (Saint Duje), which in old times was the Diocletian mausoleum. You'll have a good view from its tower. The Podrumi (cellars) are a partly very high network of hallways beneath the Diocletian Palace. You'll leave it at the Peristil (a yard of pillars). Directly at the harbour there is the Riva, the promenade, which is the well-known landmark of the city. Salona an old Romanian settlement with an arena is nearby. The town of Trogir, which isn't too far away, might be also of interest for the ones, who are seeking culture.
