The capital city of Johor in Sothern Malaysia is a popular tourist destination; thanks to its proximity to Singapore. History
Johor Bahru founded in 1855 became a vibrant city, which attracted migrant Chinese workers. The Japanese army invaded this city in 1942. Shortly after the war ended, this city saw many nationalistic uprisings and Johor Bahru was officially granted recognition as a city on 1 January 1994.

There are many tourist attractions in this city including palaces and museums. The sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque, which flaunts a medley of Moorish and Victorian architecture is a must see.
