City San Jose – The  Flamboyant Capital City

San Jose, located at the Central valley is the largest city and the capital of Costa Rica. A major political and economical hub, it is a popular tourist destination as well. Set amidst impressive mountains and natural spectacles, the city offers everything you could ask for. History
Set up in 1738, San José is one of the youngest capital cities in Latin America though it was named much later. From being a quaint small time town it has evolved to be the economic hub and a destination to reckon with in all these years.

Getting Around
Public transport buses that ply frequently connect the various parts of the city and are great options for budget travellers, the best guide is to have some change handy to pay for your travel.
