About This Hostel
Sarang Galloway Vacation Home.
Opened on February 2008 we are the only Vacation Home situated in the heart of the city. This is a double storey pre-war house built in the 1920s during colonial times.
It is one of the few properties still standing in a neighbourhood where time has stood still in the midst of rapid modernization common to all cities around the world. The interior has recently been renovated to provide a comfortable, airy and cosy atmosphere for our guests while retaining the facade as a heritage feature. It is a wonderful place for those who would like to experience living in a Malaysian home.
The word 'Sarang' means nest in the Malay language and 'Galloway' comes from the road on which this home is situated. The road is named after a British jailor serving in the then Federated Malay States at the nearby historical Pudu prison.
Although we are walking distance to all major attractions in the city our neighbourhood is very quiet as it is on a small road off the main thorough fare. The police headquarters is a 2 minutes walk away making this the safest place to stay in.

We even have a sun area where you can sunbathe in private.
The kitchen is well equipped with 2 gas stoves, wok, pots, pans, refrigerator and a microwave oven.
Sarang Galloway is very children friendly. A baby cot is provided free upon request. Baby sitting is available at a minimal charge. Our TV has multi channel satellite prorammes and a large selection of DVDs and VCDs for your viewing pleasure. Guide books and maps are also provided free.
We are most happy to help you plan your holiday in Kuala Lumpur. We offer personalised tours at very special rates only for our guests. Golf tours around Kuala Lumpur can also be arranged. Cooking and floral arrangement classes can be arranged with a minimum of 4 pax bookings.
