About This Hostel
Welcome to Transylvania Hostel, The newest hostel in Cluj-Napoca that opens in May 2008! More than your average hostel, Transylvania will give you the best services at a cheap price and a unique atmosphere that only our staff can deliver.
Transylvania Hostel is special, a different fish in the ocean of hostels that you are accustomed with. Cluj- Napoca is a beautiful land of wonders, dated since ancient times. Western and eastern cultures and history are all around you.
Transylvania Hostel is in the old center of the city and can show you all the hot spots in Cluj-Napoca. We will do our best to ensure the highest quality of service and to make sure that your stay here is an experience that you will never forget.
Our hostel is placed at the first flour in a century old house.
We have friendly bedrooms in different types of colors such as: blue, pink, orange and yellow. We have 3 rooms with 8 beds, one room with 6 beds and one room with 2 beds starting with 15 euro:

Across the street is a nice club and 20 m away is one of the famous coffee bar from Cluj-Napoca.

Check-in starts at 1 pm and check out is at 10:30 am.
At the check-in please make sure you have a valid Passport or ID (EU-countries).
Persons under the age of 18 have to be accompanied by a parent or a legal tutor.

Cancellation Policy
You must give us 24 Hours notice of any change and/or cancellation of your booking prior to the check in time at 1 pm per e-mail. Phone cancellations are not accepted. Please make sure that you receive the confirmation of your cancellation from us by e-mail, otherwise you will be charged for the first night of your stay and any remaining nights will be cancelled. Please check with the Management of the Hostel after you're booking has been confirmed, to confirm the most up to date Cancellation Policy.

How to Get There
Our address is: 26 Iuliu Maniu Street, Cluj – Napoca, Romania
The Hostel is on the street that connects the two main Churches of Cluj-Napoca; the Orthodox Cathedral (the white one) and the Catholic Church (brown one).
From the train station you have to cross the street and take the bus number 3 or 4. Get out at the third stop (the Orthodox Cathedral stop, the white one). Go in front of the Cathedral. If you face the stairs than you can see at your left side Iuliu Maniu street. Estimate time is 15-20 minutes. By taxi estimate time is 10-15 minutes. If you want to go by foot from the trainstation you have to walk down Horia street up to the river Somes. Cross the bridge and walk straigt ahead untill you see the Catholic Church (the brown one). Go in front of the statue of Matei Corvin, face it and than you can see Iuliu Manu street at your right side. You can also recognise the street because of it starts between two buildings that look the same and is also nicknamed as the `Mirror Street`. By foot the estimate time is 30 minutes.
From the airport you have to take the bus number 8 and get out at the Orthodox Cathedral stop (the white one). Estimate time is 30 minutes by bus and 15-20 minutes by taxi. Walking is not recommended.
