Verona in Italy - The City of Romeo and Juliet
Verona is one of the seven provincial capitals of Italy and one of the main tourist destinations in northern Italy. Better known as the city of Romeo and Juliet, this city is famous for its artistic heritage, colourful annual fairs, shows, and operas. Verona has many edifices to its credit including the Arena, the ancient amphitheatre built by the Romans.

History
It was a Roman empire in 89 BC. Later on, it was ruled by many empires and rulers including Napoleon during which an Austrian regime was established. Piazza delle Erbe is a must see spot in Verona. Surrounded by towers and ancient buildings, this historic piazza was originally built as the Roman Forum. There are many souvenir stalls around and cafes along the sides of the piazza. Lamberti Tower is a nice spot to catch a panoramic view of the city. Built in the 12th century, the structure has a height of 84 meters.
