Ikea the Swedish company famous for affordable flat-pack furniture and the world largest Furniture Company, has plans to expand their business and is looking to open around 100 budget design hotels across Europe.
Ikeas aim is to create a Hotel accommodation based on budget design with a boutique and exclusive feel but with affordable prices, the budget hotels accommodation industry is considered to be one of the fastest growing in the hotel industry, so this is a very smart move on Ikeas side.
To all those eager to try out a stay in one of Ikeas new budget hotels in Europe, you will be disappointed to hear that the hotel chain will not use the Ikea retail name and the hotels will be run by an already established hotel operator outside the company, but the locations, design and concept are all Ikea.
