History
Grand Bay was one of the sites of British Invasion of Île de France in 1810. Grand Bay was once called the sleepy village of the region, as it had nothing significant about it. With the rise in price of sugar, people in the area started prospering and the city walked on the path to become the present day lively tourist destination.
