Lecapitaine Tourist Residence, looks like a two storey cruising passenger ship, out of the water in the beautiful and quiet residential areas of Morcellement Swan, of Tombeau-Bay. The interesting feature is that each large double bedroom of the first floor area has inside facilities for its own private bathroom and toilet, which forming part of a big apartment having its self catered kitchens, with all amenities and a TV, living and dining room. All along its side, passengers can relax on the balcony/ terrace.

The ground floor of the ship shaped building consist of 3 other private apartments, two for rentals and one private for the owners who reside on site.

The first ground floor private apartment for rental, consists of 2 individual private double bedrooms, self catered kitchen with amenities, toilet and bathroom and a large terrace.

The second ground floor private apartment for rental consist of 3 individual private double bedrooms, self catered kitchen with all amenities, toilet and bathroom. Finally on the second floor, there is the studio which looks like the steering room area, for the captain. It is a self catered studio, one double bedroom, small kitchen, toilet and bath.

We do have on site now a shop for the tourists basic needs, and we do sell lot of commodities. There is a telephone booth in the shop premises for international calls and telephone cards for any destination are sold on site. No need to got far away for internet, uploading photos, as we do have on site internet cyber cafe, with cheap rates of connection.

The advantage of Residence Lecapitaine is THE low rental rate, good standard of accommodation and its situation only 5 kilometres away from city centre Port Louis; and on the way to the northern part of the island. Walking to the beach, to the nearest big Hotel, Les Cocotiers will take you 10 minutes. Otherwise, there is a nice public beach called Le Goulet, where you get a good bath/swim, at some 20 minutes walk, or you can easily catch a bus to this place.

The biggest departmental store of the island the 'Jumbo Score' is only 2 kilometres away from our place. You can catch a bus opposite Les Cocotiers Hotel to go to Jumbo Score or by bicycles, which we also provide free.

Cancellation policy

You must give us 24 hours notice of any change and/or cancellation of your booking, otherwise you will be charged for the first night of your stay and any remaining nights will be cancelled.

Some people, who are not too much loaded and have time ahead of them, once outside the airport, just walk some 500 metres and wait on the unique bus stop, with shelter, after the round about to wait for a bus. This bus takes them directly to  the city centre of Port Louis and the trip might take some one to one and a half hour, as it is in the other hand and of course the transport is much less than what they would have paid for a taxi.

Once in Port Louis, you walk to the northern bus station and you catch the tombeau bay bus, tell the conductor to drop you on the football pitch of morcellement swan, at Saint Malo. Take the inside road along the football pitch, walk some 50 metres and as the road turns left and we are at the corner of main road, 2nd road on the left.
